Is AI Art Real Art?

Millions of images generated with code have fueled the engine of a new economy. But modern art has been associated with a lot of shenanigans over the years — is AI art the dawn of a new era, or the art world’s latest prank?

AI generated image that looks somewhat like flowers painted — I uploaded an image of my eye to WOMBO’s Dream app, choose a style transfer option, downloaded this image into Procreate, and ‘drew’ on it ‘by hand’ with my Apple Pencil, but is it art?
